Petition Status

We know that checking the status of your immigration petition is one of the most important activities to you in the lifespan of your case. Keep in mind however that while status information is always available, it is limited in nature since USCIS Immigration needs to spend most of their time and assets actually processing cases.

[*Expediting an immigration case: USCIS rarely approves expediting a case in fairness to petitioners waiting-in-line, and will only expedite processing an immigration petition if you can document an emergency situation – medical or financial – or other compelling circumstance. There are four (4) ways to Check the Status of your case (after you receive your petition receipt number):

  • 1) Online on the USCIS Immigration website Check Status Page (the best way)
  • 2) Telephone Call to the USCIS Immigration’s Customer Service number: 1-800-375-5283  
  • 3) Review of  the “Process Time Report” published by USCIS Immigration, and  
  • 4) Checking our Petition Status Table posted below under the First Initial of Your Last Name
